From deep in the mountainto a thousand industries.
Two group mines and one integrated processing chain. Each year we can produce 60,000 tonnes of fluorspar powder and 12,000 tonnes of lumps for chemical plants, steel mills, glass-fibre and ceramics makers.
Watch the filmBased in Jiangxi, Great Honor Mining draws ore from its group’s mines , processes it in the group’s plant and tests it in the group’s laboratory . From vein to bulk bag, every step stays within one chain.

Fluorescenceis named after this stone.
In 1852 the physicist George Gabriel Stokes named a strange kind of glow after fluorite: fluorescence. Many fluorites shine blue under ultraviolet light.
Its Latin name comes from fluere, “to flow”: add it to a furnace and the slag runs freely. That is still its job in steelmaking today.

Two group mines, where quality and supply begin.
Together the two mines yield about 120,000 tonnes of ore a year — all of it fed to the group’s plant.
Visit the minesHow a lump of rockbecomes a bag of fluorspar.
-
Adit mining at our Minfeng and Dazhu mines, with rail haulage and load-haul-dump loaders underground.
-
Ore is trucked to the plant, jaw-crushed and screened before sorting.
-
Intelligent optical sorters have replaced hand-picking. High-grade lumps go straight out as lump fluorspar; barren rock is sold as construction aggregate.
-
The remaining ore is ground, classified and floated — one rougher, three scavengers — to concentrates of up to 98% CaF₂.
-
Filter presses and vacuum disc filters dewater the concentrate; the drying hall air-dries it and the drying line turns out dried concentrate.
-
Every lot is assayed in the group’s laboratory, packed in bulk bags and shipped.
Every lot leaveswith an assay report.
The group’s laboratory tests every lot for CaF2, SiO2, sulphur and phosphorus. The contract and the assay report set the binding values.

Where doesfluorspar go?
Fluorspar — calcium fluoride — is the starting point of the fluorochemical industry and an indispensable flux for metallurgy and building materials.
- 01HF
Chemicals
Acid-grade fluorspar is the base raw material for hydrofluoric acid and the whole family of fluorochemicals.

- 02Flux
Steelmaking
A flux in steelmaking: it lowers the melting point of slag, improves its fluidity and helps remove sulphur and phosphorus.

- 03GF
Glass fibre
As a flux it lowers melting temperatures and raises furnace efficiency.
